Tappers cafe's service is extremely BAD!!! We have waited for more than 45mins for the meal and it never came and we kept on reminded the waitress to attend to our order but all she did is "Wait"…"Wait". All that we had then were the drinks which we completely finish within the waiting time (without meal). That was beside the point, the waitress told us that one of the meal is no longer available after 30mins and most of the customers who came in later got their meal even the table next to us got their meal less than 10mins. I emphasized to the waitress that we have been waiting for 30mins...40mins and by the 45mins (1:07pm to 1:52pm) we said we wanted to see the boss (by the way, there is a receipt printed with the time). Guess what the absurb boss just did, he waved away sulkily at us and the waitress told us needless to pay for the drinks without a word from the boss. The least that he could do is to apologize for the delay in the 1st place and asked if we would prefer to come another time. One advise, Never Visit Tappers cafe at JayaOne!

I went there two times in the space of a year. First time I went with four others. We ordered their famous chicken chop and others. Big mistake. The sauce was not tasty and the chicken was bone dry. Usually hainanese chicken chop is very moist. The drinks was over powered by the sugar so much that I had to put that aside and just order water. One sip of the teh and I could feel my blood sugar level jump! The second time I went there with 6 people. This time I was smarter and I told every one that they probably should stick to the Asian dishes as the western food was poor. Only half of them believed me. I ordered the nasi dagang Terengganu but was told there was none. Then I ordered nasi dagang ayam but told there was none. AlreadY frustrated, I asked what food was in their kitchen and whether I could order it. The waiter told me the nasi ayam gulai so I thanked god and quickly ordered it. My wife over heard my conversation and stayed clear from the nasi dangang and ordered the famous salt baked chicken. Her luck ran out when the waiter said there was none. So she wisely did what I did and asked thE waiter what food did they have in the kitchen and ordered Kung pao chicken. The food came and I ate only half of the ayam gulai coz it was pretty tasteless and looked like it was sitting there for a few days. The rice was dry and hard. Since my dish came first, there rest of the table asked me what was wrong and I told them bout the poor food. They didn't believe me until theirs came. The mushroom omelette was bitter, the pie was hard and dry even when it was served with sauce all over it. The Kung pao chicken should really be called Kung pao flour. My friends drink had so much sugar that he asked them to add water and even then it was still full of sugar that he left it there untouched. I on the other hand had ordered water and I'm thankful for it. After about 30 mins I had an allergy. My eyes puffed p and my legs got itchy. What an experience. Then we called for the bill and tried to pay with a credit card. Was told no. So we paid cash. After trying the place out I can truly recommend the water. Don't bother with the rest of the menu coz they won't have half of it and the other half you'll regret eating it.
