Restaurant Introduction:

BellyGood - Pork's Lovers Paradise

BellyGood restaurant is a restaurant which is positioned as a Western non-halal restaurant to cater to pork lovers. BellyGood has hosted wine appreciation events, birthdays, corporate gatherings and is able to accommodate any indoor event should the need arise. It is located strategically in Sunway’s prime business area which is conveniently accessible through the Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) and Federal Highway. BellyGood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating to customers with a dining capacity of 70 at one time.

In a homely yet chic environment, customers are treated to fusion styled non-halal dishes which combine the spicy and exotic Asian taste with American inspired grilling methods and dishes. Our specialties are our Grilled Pork Bellies, Grilled Pork Ribs, Baby Back Ribs and Pork Chops.
Our appetizers feature imported Portobello mushrooms with cheese, fresh made baguettes, white breads and rye breads to tantalize your tastebuds along with our freshly made creamy soups.

The Pork Ribs, Pork Belly and Baby Back Ribs are first marinated with our marinades for a day and then braised for a moment to tenderize the rib before ending up on the smoky grill to give it the smoky grilled flavor.

The pork chops are succulent and moist with its juicy loveliness seared in and then marked with the grill which is then bathed with the simple brown sauce which amplifies its homely juicy flavor.

After a scrumptious overindulgent meal you would probably like something sweet to top off your awesome meal so Bellygood is proud to share with you its fresh homemade cakes and pastries and its Movenpick Ice Creams which has gained a fierce following in our restaurant.
If that isn’t enough Bellygood also features a wide range of house wines which we would recommend to you and various imported Belgium beers such as Hoegarden, and Weinstephan.

It was an unpleasant dining experience for me and my friend @ Belly Good. The serving was small and the owner who took our order wasn't a nice guy either. Basically, we booked several tables for 30 person and on that morning before the dinner, he called and said he wanted to cancel the reservation because of some stupid excuses related to his own profit (something about lots of students coming in and sharing food instead of ordering one meal per pax resulting in lower business profit). If you are unwilling to do our business, then do not accept the reservation and cancel it last minute. Such an unethical businessman. On that night itself, I don't get why the owner seemed so stressed about trying to rush the food out. Why can't he wait till everyone is seated before taking orders. In the end, we had to be rude to other guests who arrived later by eating first as the food was there and no point waiting until the food is cold. The serving is very small (3 sticks of ribs instead of a row) and the baby back rib that I've ordered, doesn't seems to be a baby ribs at all. At RM29.90 (yes, they increased the price without updating their website), it is definitely not worth it. I could have gotten a 2 course meal at TGI Fridays for that price. Another observation of mine was the kitchen. Located in the dining area, the kitchen was an unpleasant sight. The frying pan is abused to the max. I suspect it used to be a non-stick pan, but the coating on the middle is entirely gone, only the side still appear coated. So what have they been serving their customers? Teflon coated pasta? Ewwww....they can't even invest in a proper aluminium or cast iron cookware that will last longer. All I want to say is, avoid that place at all cost. There are many other places for pork lovers. There were more unhappy events that occurred that night, but I do not wish to mention it anymore but it has something to do with mistake during ordering and lost of temper.

I have read the comments from JJ and wish to leave a comment also. I've recently been to this place and i think the owner has been reading feedback from customers. the portions has increased although i still think the price is steep. they still get your orders wrong and unable to coordinate your meals. example: i ordered a appetizer, main course and dessert. After the appetizer was at the table for like less then 1 min the main course came and you actually have to remind them to give you your dessert or else you would be just sitting there waiting for a very long time. when you first go in they will be very friendly and attentive, but after serving the main course they tend to concentrate on new patrons and neglect you. They ALWAYS get the order wrong no matter how many times i go there. They forget your preference that you have informed them on and will forget to serve you after main course. Their food also cannot come out at the same time to have all parties eating together. I really think they can't handle a table more then 2 people. even then i think their service is not that good. They are improving but still not to the standard required for being a really good restaurant.

That's odd, I went there on a weekday (27th week July) and had no issues. Granted, the place had only three tables with six customers. Maybe that's why. I like the place in general, decent ambiance, lavatories are nice and clean with proper paper towels. It's the little touches that make the difference between a franchise and a decent restaurant. My iced coffee came with separate sugar syrup, they wiped off my plate before serving it to me (saw out of the corner of my eye), the supervisor Will was nothing but polite and courteous. The staff did seem uncomfortable, but to be honest I would be too if I was in a foreign country serving foreign people speaking a foreign language. They did seem lost at times though, as if bored (well, only three tables and six customers only). It might not be unreasonable to expect them to look a little more enthusiastic :) As for the food, apart from the sauce being on the salty side (and I like salty food, so it should be quite salty for the masses), it was overall savoury and hearty as I expected it would be. My partner and I are a fairly big eater and felt stuffed (beyond full) on their portions. BTW I had the medallions and my partner had the grilled belly. Things might change when there are more people, but I for one will be going back to try the rest of the porky goodness (I'm eyeing the sausages next). I don't find the place expensive for what you get (2 mains + ice coffee RM72.80). I enjoy my food and I am willing to pay extra for environment. Not to say I don't enjoy my hawker food, I just felt like a little treat after a long day at work.
