Disappointed at the lady boss service and the food portion and quality!!!Today my parents and I were having a buffet dinner at tis place. We ordered some food but the portion was uneven. Ordered 2 teriyaki salmon which it serves 2 small and thin slices of teriyaki salmon. At that time we thought ok, this is the portion which this restaurant serves. Later on we ordered another 2 plates of shisamo. In the end, it serves like 12 shisamo in 2 plates. That is alot. We tried to finish it and ordered some sushi but the sushi was too sour. We end up put aside the sushi rice. When the time we want to bill, the lady boss told us not to waste food (which is the sushi rice only) and she told us better to go have buffet at other places. She told us not to visit again. I was stun at that time and try to explain to her but it end up she chase me out of her restaurant and said they will only do business with return customer but not new comers. This kind of service still exist in Malaysia? Kikyo, do you really think you are the only japanese buffet restaurant in Malaysia? This is my first and last visit at this place. Last but not least, to all people or new comers if you really want to try or likes to eat at kikyo please go ahead(which I’m not really recommend), I’m not forcing you all not to go. For return customers, if you feel that I’m wrong, please continue to dine in at there and I hope you all won’t get the same bad service as me. If you feel the same thing as me, I recommend you to have your dinner buffet at Maiu Japanese Restaurant which located at Petaling Jaya. At least the service is good(at least they won’t chase you out), quality of food(sushi rice) won’t that sour.

Me & my:) colleague a total of 8 person decided to have Japanese buffet dinner & get together at the Kikyo Japanese restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong, however our buffet dinner turn out to be a nightmare. The buffet here we have to order from menu but the choices are limited and the portions are very small, so we after ordering for the first round we find the food not sufficient for the 8 of us, but we can only order thru the menu & when come out the portion was not as shown in menu. Then we decided to re-order the items in a portion of 3 or 4 bcos of the very small portion given, but to our surprises only certain more nice to eat food comes in small portions but items like sushi other suddenly comes in very big portion and suddenly we also dunno why they delivered all kind of sushi with rice to our table nonstop, we try to stop & ask the waiter but we was told we did order the variety type of sushi rice which we also not sure but cones in very big plate. To make the situation worst, was when I ask the waiter to take away my half eaten & dirtied 2 pieces of sushi rice which was in a dirty plate, I was told that they are not able to do so,is either I finish or unfinished food will be charged.Suddenly me and my colleagues really felt traumatised and mistreated bcos we were having a Japanese buffet dinner happily but on our table our of a sudden there were so many unwanted sushi which either we have to finish or we will be charged & we are not given a chance to verify when we order those big plate of sushi or not, but out of a sudden our tables are full with 3-4 big plates of sushi and many other bigger portion food. Imagine if you were there today how will you feel??? Is this the how Kikyo Japanese buffet restaurant treat their customers? ??? I went to many Japanese buffet before like shogun, Jagoya and etc but I was not forced to finish every single sushi or food in my table or else I will be charge the normal rate for the food. Here limited with choices and the price Rm59++ is also not cheap and we do not have oyster here or the privileged to pick the food we want to eat or select the portion but only select from the few choices given in menu & wait to see the taste & portion given. This is the last time each and every single one of us is going to step food into this Kikyo Restaurant ya, given the very poor customer service by the lady boss & waiter. When the lady boss come over to clear some od our plates, she even told us that we ordered in too many portion and she deliberately slow down on our orders at the first few rounds bcos we may not be able to finish but she did not inform us until last minute and we were so confused bcos the food we order come out in very small portion at first and later part very big portions. When we try to request for her staff to stop the additional orders, we were told they are unable to do so even thou the food was not even delivered yet. Then at 9.30pm before the 10pm closing most of our food comes out in very big portion and consist a lot of rice sushi in 3-4 big plates with more than 10 pieces and we was told since we have ordered, if we cannot finish each left over food will be charge at normal rate pricing bcos waste of food. Imagine how the 8 of us feel, I think anybody at our situation will feel cheated by this Japanese buffet restaurant. Maybe the lady boss was not happy bcos we order more than normal in a portion of 2-3 but that is bcos the food comes out in very small portion & we have 8 person, then she slow down on our orders and later part send in a lot of rice sushi and other bigger items in big portions compared to earlier portion to punish us, bcos when paying time, she commented that we order too many portions, but this is not yje way to do business & treat your customers??? And we share with her that some of her food really not eatable but she told us that she used back the same supplier as the previous male owner Jimmy ya. I visited this restaurant many times in the past but the food quality was not so poor & so tiny in pieces previously and I also did not finish the terrible taste prawn and using which I ordered but I was not charged the normal rate for the udon or the small fry prawn . My point here is why the lady boss show her angry face and treat her 8 paying customers like this when we are the one of the three tables there for tonight ya. All we wanted was to enjoy our Japanese buffet dinner but why she has to turn our dinner which was enjoyable at first into a nightmare and spoil our gathering. We are willing to come to her restaurant at least she will have 8 extra paying customers and good recommendations but the food quality and the waiter services at Kikyo is really getting very poor & terrible ya. I don't any one of us are willing to go back there again actually, given the poor treatment from the lady owner and waiter and the punishment given to us to swallow so many sushi is really a beth traumatise experience ya. 

Emm...I saw the 3 friends post on these Kikyo restaurant, they are absolutely right. I been there with my family, our buffet time start at 12 to 3pm. We reach there sharp and soon to place our 1st order, now the story begin..we wait for dish about half to 45min,and it really shock us at the size of the portion given. I don't think that the tempura prawn can be ""mini prawn"" it doesn't look like the tempura we had in others Japanese restaurant ,this is taste bad and oily. And yet reach about 2pm we haven't get our first order been fully serve and the lady boss came out and said the sushi rice already finish and also it's time close for foods ordering. We argue to her said it's not fair you treat customer and complaint the foods too. Really can't imagine the lady boss look like "samseng"scold at us said we order lot and we paid less. How can we paid the buffet price for Japanese foods but serve badly than mama stall,taste badly and customer service given bad..bad..bad. Even 1 star also not worth for it!!!!

Story begin after new owner taking over this shop. Ladies bos, she was not sporting enough to run a buffet business. Bad point.. 1. She serving expensive food plate very slow, and also limit the order per times.. etc. sashimi only 5 plate in one order.. imagine if you hv 8 people? 2. All expensive item in small portion.. like kids dinner. 3. Surprisingly sushi serve in very big portion.. hehe.. I suspect she try to make customer full with those cheap item. You can imagine sushi roll size almost like "lou mai kai"... 4. that day we have 5 persons. sashimi all our favour...Because she slow serving and small portion. We try are repeating the max 5 plate order in 3 times.. (but the actual 5 plate quantity is like 2 plate sushi king serving)... then suddenly the ladies bos come out to warning us.. she say "you guys have exceeding the limit"... My friend all stop for a while. Omg.. this is not buffet? why got limit? we just cool and stop everything. Check the bill just go with no return in future...
