Actually we are not that old.

Caffe 1920 was born in the year 2000 in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.

We chose the name when we discovered that it was back in the '20s that in Northern Italy the first “al fresco” cafes opened for business.

The old continent was recovering from the destructions of World War I and sitting under the finally peaceful skies was a newly rediscovered pleasure.

We opened our 1st outlet on the 7th October 2000. From the very beginning, we developed our own personal style, which has been subsequently carried forward to all our outlets. By doing so, though, we made sure that we did not merely reproduce identical outlets; in fact, we wanted to ensure that each and every one could be developed with its own personal identity. This, we thought, could be chain store “Italian style”.

When you deal with the most popular cuisine in the world, you have a big responsibility.

Italian restaurants are found everywhere. Sometimes they raise, sometimes not, the overall level of Italian cuisine.

Our mission at Caffe 1920 is to be recognized and associated with the best Italian food, with focus on quality, service and value for money. Ours is a no frills cuisine: honest, good, generous and nutritional, exactly like you would expect a good meal to be, always.

At Caffe 1920, you can enjoy a full, wholesome meal from appetizers to desserts, indulging along the way through our incredible selection of pastas, pizzas, main courses, salads and sandwiches.

Among our signature items, we have our FOLDED FRIED PIZZA. Their actual name is “panzerotto” but fried pizza was just too easy to remember! Our folded pizza comes with different fillings, all of them drowned in melted hot mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce.

Next the TIMBALLO. A lasagna like dish made of layers of pancake and Bolognese sauce. This dish is a great alternative to the more traditional lasagna.

The TWO BY TWO is another of our specialties. Cream of chicken mixed with Bolognese sauce, wrapped in our special dough. This, my friend, is a real treat!

What about our Pasta & Pizza selection? We serve our PASTA in some 13 different ways, in tomato, cream sauce or olive oil & garlic and with a selection of three types of pasta to chose from (spaghetti, penne and fettuccine), that makes it over 39 different compositions. Not bad, what do you think?
